New YEE MO - FÖJ Aktiv e.V

The voluntary ecological year (FÖJ) is an educational year for young people that they can make after school.

The FÖJ -Aktiv e.V is a non-profit nationwide association for current and former participants of such project. It was founded in 2005 by former participants.
The FÖJ -Aktiv e.V is economically, denominational and politically independent.

Our goals are to:the_foj

  • Build a network for former and active participants.
  • Work together on projects and events through FÖJ sponsorship.
  • Make FÖJ better known.
  • Develop the idea of FÖJ and be active.
  • Spread environmental awareness and sustainability.

The goals are specified in our statutes of association. Each year at the beginning of the period FÖJ newly elects five board members of current and former students by statute. Currently the association has about 70 members (as of April 2008).

We have just completed a big project called "Öko-ist-congress" in Premnitz.
The Congress was held this year for the first time and we welcomed over 100 dedicated and motivated young people. We had workshops and presentations on various topics, hot discussions and the evenings were filled with live music and other entertaining programs.
