YEE Team Monitors Water in Czech Karst

P1AmOn Tuesday October 26 the YEE office team will travel to the beautiful area of Czech Karst nearby Prague and measure the quality of water in rivers, streams and lakes in this region. This activity is the part of the worldwide project World Water Monitoring Day, which aims to raise awareness on protecting water resources all around the world and encourage people to do the basic water monitoring in their countries. World Water Monitoring Day is officialy celebrated on September 18, but the time for monitoring was extended from World Water Day (March 22) to the end of the year (December 31) in 2009 for the first time. Everybody interested can order water test kits (including tools for measuring temperature, acidity, clarity and dissolved oxygen) and join the World Water Monitoring Day project.
